ABATE of Maryland, Inc. is the only organization in Maryland exclusively engaged in representing the rights of Maryland motorcyclists. We maintain a presence in Annapolis, your state Capitol, from the ABATE of Maryland state office. Local chapters throughout the state provide the foundation for our organization.
ABATE – Motorcyclist Rights Lobbying
MONDAY NIGHT LOBBYING: Every Monday night we meet at the state office at approx. 5:30pm. We discuss our plan for the evening and then walk over to the office buildings and eventually the State House. Meet us there and see how the Maryland General Assembly works.
ABATE in Action on Monday Nights
We are changing things up with the Monday Night Lobbying events this year. Geographically, we can break the state into four (4) separate regions. Each region would have up to three (3) designated Monday nights during session where that region of the state would attend. We will plan District appointments with the representatives from the Districts that represent that region of the state. There are twelve (12) MNL sessions and four (4) regions of the state. Therefore, each region would have 3 opportunities to show up in Annapolis on a Monday evening. Hopefully, this would provide an opportunity for as many members as possible to visit Annapolis and make their voice heard!
Of course, we would always welcome anyone to attend any MNL session, but the nights scheduled for a specific region of the state would have meetings scheduled for District Senators and / or Delegates from that region of the state. Stay tuned for reminders about Monday Night Lobbying events! We hope to see a lot of member faces in Annapolis this year!
